Outline and Fill

this wasnt the most interesting assignment in the world but i guess its good for people who like making things look like cartoons. i chose a very simple image for this. i could have maybe given this project a little more effort but it was just a little too blah for me. i think this is a good project for transforming people into cartoons rather than mundane objects.

Line Art/Cross Hatching

This project actually gave me a little trouble. I think i just kept choosing images that were too dark. also i had a little trouble with the diagonals layer i was given earlier in class. I ended up just using a photo of Wendi Malick i had saved from research of a different project. Wasnt my first choice but atleast i got the assignment done. i actually think it looks pretty good because i left the background in instead of cropping just her figure out.

Stencil Graffiti

Here I learned how to make a clipping path the easy way!! Pen tool! i also learned how to change the hue/saturation of an image. This project was fun and interesting. I've always been into fantasy creatures like dragons and fairies and wizards and things so i chose to use a dragon for my graffiti image. the background i used is a picture i took of the floor down in the subway station at north hollywood station. i think this project turned out well.

iPod Ad

In this project i learned how to make a clipping path, the hard way, using the brush tool. I've come to find that the pen tool works much better. In this image you can see the lines are rough and uneven. This was a fun project though. I chose this image because it's my sister and i wanted to make the project a little more personal rather than finding a random image on the web.

Ransom Note

This project taught me how to make a message look as if it were pieced together from magazine clippings. I also learned how to play around with different effects to make the paper itself look a little worn.
